The lecturer in our department was chosen as M.D. Saad Mahmoud Ali/ Head of the Biomechanics Branch in the scientific committees of a number of international scientific conferences, as follows:

1- Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Computational Intelligence and Communication System CCICS 2023, which will be held at Central China Public University, Wuhan, China, from December 28 to 29, 2023.

2- Member of the Scientific Committee of the International Conference on Engineering, Technologies and Applied Sciences (IETAS). The conference will be held in September 2024 at the University of Technology in Baghdad.

3- Member of the Scientific Committee of the 37th Annual European Simulation and Modeling Conference (European Multi-Conference Simulation 2023ESM) which will be held on October 24-26, 2023, Toulouse, France.

 

As part of the peer visit program, a teaching delegation from the Department of Biomedical Engineering at Al-Nahrain University visited our department.

The delegation was headed by Dr. Anas Qusay Hashem, Head of the Department, along with a number of department heads and lectures. The delegation was received, on behalf of the Head of the Department,

by Ph.Dr. Hussein Jamil, the scientific assistant, and the heads of the branches, Ph.Dr. Saad Mahmood and Ph.Dr. Alaa Mohammad, and Ph.Dr. Ali Jalal, Director of the Quality Assurance and Performance Evaluation Division

The delegation reviewed the department’s experience, especially in the field of Biomechanics, and the possibility of cooperation in opening a similar branch in their department. The two parties also discussed the possibility of exchanging experiences in the field of quality files and university performance and benefiting from the department’s experience in this field. It was also agreed to exchange visits, conduct joint research, develop and unify the curricula of the two departments, and jointly supervise graduation projects.

 

 

The Lecturer in our department Assist. Prof. Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali/ Head of the Biomechanics Branch obtains accepting two papers at the International 17th Middle Eastern Simulation and Modelling Conference, which is held by Al-Farahidi, Technology, and Al-Nahrain Universities, sponsored by the European Institute EIT (MESM 2023), on September 22 and 24, 2023, and the titles of the papers are as follows:

Design and Fabrication of a Low-Cost Hand Rehabilitation Soft Robot for Paralyzed Patients, Periodica Polytechnica Mechanical Engineering, under publication.

Design and Manufacturing of a Low-Cost Nonconventional Controlling Intelligent Prosthesis, Journal of Mechanical Engineering, accepted at 15/5/2022.

Farah Hamid Rashid earned his PhD in material science from the Department of Applied Sciences at Technology University. Earn his earned his M.Sc. in material science from the Department of Applied Sciences at Technology University .Farah earned his bachelor’s degree in material science from the University of Technology (UOT), Baghdad, Iraq in 2009. Farah is a faculty member in the Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Technology (UOT) since 2019; His research interested focus on Biomaterial and biofilters and composite.
