Jamal Mohammed Hamad Students participating in the project: Mena Walid Abbas Abdulrahman Mohammed Nour El Hoda Kwan About the project : The project dealt with a diagnostic and therapeutic system for the eye, consisting of two devices: The first is to diagnose the white water disease that affects the lens of the eye using ultrasound technology to ensure the diagnosis of the disease early and more accurately. The second is a new innovative treatment for eye laziness, which affects the brain cells responsible for the vision process by shedding electrical impulses on the part of the brain responsible for lazy eye vision and within a specific range of stimulation in the treatment process, instead of the current methods of eye exercises, To effective treatment faster and give guaranteed results The second project :- project name : Design of smart control system for bionic finger Project supervisors: Dr. Wassam Kazem Asst. Prof. Dr. Saad Mahmoud Ali Students participating in the project: Dania Saad Mahmood Fatima Hussain Alwash Layan Nameer Ali About the project :- Some children suffer from problems with concentration and have difficulty using their hands for basic daily activities due to a condition named Ataxia, which is a combination of symptoms, resulting from a number of diseases, rather than an actual disease itself. This project follows the basic principles of occupational therapy and it employs technology in a game-like device design, to make it more appealing to children. The employment of technology aims to shorten the time period required to receive actual results when using traditional occupational therapy methods, as well as develop the brain and improve their hand-eye coordination and concentration, making them able to take care of themselves and be active members of the community. Administering medications or fluids directly into a patient’s blood circulation results in a predictable and immediate absorption of the drug or fluid administered, this may play a vital role in the treatment of certain acute conditions which require immediate action by drugs or fluids. Syringe Pumps are highly useful in delivering a precise quantity of the substance at specific periods of time as required. This research presents a proposal to create a cost effective working prototype of syringe pump for variable and low delivery rates for the administration of small volumes. It was found through blood tests and resultsobtained that the material silver nanotubes non-toxic to the blood whenadded to certain percentages Sixth Project: project name:- Development of nanoparticles for cancer therapy Project supervisors: Dr. Sabah Abdel-Saheb Students participating in the project: Zainab Saad Mohammed Samaya Raad Abbas Hurara Fadel Hussein Ibrahim Jabbar Hamid About the project :- The objective of this thesis was to evaluate whether the technique of bismuth nanoparticles can be used for minimally invasive treatment of cancerous cells. Noble metals nanoparticles were synthesized directly by pulsed laser ablation (Nd: YAG, λ = 1064 nm) of bismuth immersed in pure water then were injected into the cancerous blood cell line to study their antitumor effect against cancer cells. Seventh Project: project name:- Study of mechanical properties and design methods for orthopedic devices Project supervisors: Dr. Jamal Mohammed Hamad Students participating in the project: Dania Shehab Ahmed Ghufran Ibrahim Yusuf Mohamed Aboud Ismail About the project :- The skeleton in the human body functions in several functions including movement, support and protection of human body organs when exposed to external force or pressure. Bone can not withstand bone collapse and fractures. Fractures can be treated with internal and external fixation for bone stabilization, rapid recovery, full movement and other functions. External: standard monocular stabilizer, annular stabilizer and hybrid fixer containing the two previous types. In this project, the geometric shapes of the bone plates were designed to obtain the most suitable forms of bone plates in relation to the real bone forms.
