Under the patronage of Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, the department organized a workshop on Wednesday, March 13, 2024, at 10:00 AM

Titled "Manifestations of Corruption in Society and Their Impact on the New Generation"

The workshop was delivered by Dr. Ali Fadl Bayoumi, who discussed corruption and how the abuse of official authority granted to individuals, whether in the realm of public finances, influence, negligence of law enforcement, or favoritism, can harm public interest and prioritize personal gain. The workshop also addressed various manifestations of corruption such as bribery, nepotism, exclusion of qualified competencies, exploitation of public property and influence, among others.

To eradicate corruption, it is essential for members of society to combat it in all its forms and collaborate in doing so. We should all contribute to reducing the phenomenon of corruption, which threatens society and has expanded unprecedentedly, harming and hindering societal progress.
