The Biomedical Engineering Department at the University of Technology held a "meeting for the Industrial Advisory Board of the department"
chaired by the Scientific Deputy, Professor Dr. Jinan Star
in accordance with the directives of the respected head of the Biomedical Engineering Department.
The meeting was attended by the Vice President of the Board and the heads of departments to develop an action plan for the Board. The agenda included
reviewing the curricula and proposing enhancements to some subjects to align with the evolving requirements of the job market. Additionally, the meeting
reviewed the results of a survey conducted by the department among experts in biomedical engineering in public and private sectors regarding the
compatibility of the curricula with specialization requirements and the reinforcement of departmental outcomes. The survey results confirmed the robustness of
the department's curricula by a large margin regarding the aforementioned matters.
It is worth mentioning that the Industrial Advisory Board was adopted by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research as part of the Bologna
process to enrich the job market and build genuine partnerships between educational institutions and government ministries. Building partnerships is Goal 17
of the Sustainable Development Goals.
