Under the patronage of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Muhammad Hassan Al-Ghaban, and the Head of the Biomedical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, Biomedical Engineering / Division of Studies and Planning at the University of Technology held a workshop entitled (Sports, Culture and Style) on Thursday, the corresponding 10/19/2023 at ten o’clock in the morning in the Martyr Abu Mahdi Al-Muhandis Hall in the Civil Engineering Department, with the participation of the professors and students in the Life Medicine Department and the attendees from other departments.

The representative of the Japanese International Kyokushinkai Federation and former Iraqi national team coach (Shihan Ali Nasser) gave a lecture on the importance of sport in instilling the best values ​​of principles, morals and mutual respect through sportsmanship and teamwork. It also contributes to integrating groups in society, eliminating class differences, and helping to raise awareness among individuals. Preventing conflicts and reducing social tensions. Sport plays an important role as it is considered a bridge in achieving equality and eliminating discrimination, in addition to its important role in building a healthy individual physically, mentally and socially.

The Administrative Assistant for the Biomedical Engineering Department said that this workshop came in accordance with a broad vision pursued by the university and the department in raising a generation that is morally, intellectually and scientifically developed, loving peace and rejecting extremism and fanaticism.

At the conclusion of this workshop, a certificate of thanks and appreciation was presented by the Director of the Quality Division, Ph. Dr. Ali Jalal Ali, and the Shield of Excellence was presented by the respected Administrative Assistant,Ph.Dr. Sabah Saad in the Biomedical Engineering Department.

 

 

The Biomedical Engineering Department team won the football championship against its counterpart from the Laser Engineering Department

A 3-0 victory resulted in the withdrawal of the opposing team, as the section qualified to continue the tournament with the other sections, wishing them continued victory.

 

Within the activities of the Division of Rehabilitation, Employment and Follow-up at the University of Technology for the sixth day, it held the sixth introductory symposium for the academic year 2023/2024, which targets students of the graduating classes at the University of Technology for the purpose of introducing them to the objectives and activities of the Division and recruitment mechanisms and preparing them before graduation to work in private sector companies in the Iraqi labor market.

It was the sixth day of these seminars, according to the schedule established by the Presidency of the University of Technology, with fifth-year students from the Biomedical Engineering Department.

In conclusion, the Rehabilitation and Employment Division thanks all the students participating in this symposium for their positive interaction, wishing everyone continued progress and success.
