Under the auspices of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan,a workshop was held  by the lecturer, Dr. (Mohammed Hassan Bashit), who is affiliated with the Baghdad Health Department in the Department of Engineering Projects, in the presence of the department’s academic staff and students on Thursday 11-24-2022. The workshop curriculum included each of :-

1- General view for dental instruments.

2- Guide installation for dental chair.

3- Modern technologies  which are used in dental application.

4-basic maintenance principles for dental equipment.

Ph.Dr.saad mahmood Ali  in our department / Head of the Biomechanics Branch  obtained

the patent tagged "Design of a low-cost respirator for patients with respiratory failure due to the Corona virus-Covid-19 pandemic"

The patent focused on designing two new, simple, low-weight and cost-effective models for a portable mechanical pneumatic respirator that operates with minimum oxygen consumption to help the increasing number of patients infected  with the COVID-19 pandemic. Device performance using expert systems software 11.0.In cases of injured patients, Oxygen can be used as a programmable device and other safety devices that can be controlled. 2003 and the device is able to treat patients of all ages ,From the newborn baby to the elderly. The device operates at a range of 10-40 breaths/min. And between 4.04 to 64.64 liters / minute for patients with severe breathing difficulty infected with coronaviruses or other respiratory diseases, and the designed ventilator can work to consume the amount of oxygen supplied for a long period of time using any concentration of oxygen in the oxygenated breathing gas (FIO2 ), at least 42% higher than similar previous designed or standard ventilators.

Prof. Dr. Ali Jalal Ali, a lecturer in Biomedical  Engineering Department , received a letter of thanks and appreciation from the Future University College. Our appreciation for the efforts made by him

By contributing to the convening and success of the scientific workshop, which was held at the University of Technology for students of the Department of Life Medicine Engineering - University of Babylon, wishing him more brilliance and success to serve the scientific process in our country.
