The Biomedical engineering department  holds a workshop entitled "Violence and its psychological effects on women and therapeutic solutions"

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, and the direct supervision of Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, Head of the Life Medicine Engineering Department
A workshop was held by the lecturer (Marwa Al-Mashali), specializing in psychological counseling and educational guidance, at Al-Quds hall in the department, entitled Violence and its psychological effects on women and therapeutic solutions.
The workshop dealt with several axes, including the definition of violence in general and psychological violence in particular, and an axis devoted to the types and causes of violence and preventive and curative solutions to psychological aviolence.The workshop concluded by honoring Mrs. Marwa Al-Mashali with a certificate of appreciation presented by the esteemed head of the department for the efforts made in increasing psychological and cultural awareness and the role of the elderly in society.

The student "Haider Khaled Duair" from the BioMedical Engineering Department  obtained a patent from the Central Agency for Standardization and Quality Control, entitled "Smart Oxygen Regulator"

Where the device operates the flow of oxygen from oxygen cylinders or oxygen generators as well as the central medical gas system in hospitals to the patient “automatically”, as it gives the patient oxygen as needed automatically and automatically shuts off the oxygen flow when the oxygen level in the blood reaches 95% or more , without the need for human intervention, it also turns off automatically when the patient leaves the oxygen source, and displays the percentage of the oxygen level in the blood and the amount of oxygen flowing to the patient.

? Reducing hospital fires
? Reducing human effort
? Reducing the waste of oxygen gas

The Division of Quality Assurance and University Performance in the Biomedical engineering Department  organized a lecture entitled "Educational Bag - Writing and Structuring the Curriculum" given by Prof. Dr. Marwan Nafie Ali, where the lecture dealt with the advantages of educational bags and the start of educational systems in providing them in an appropriate way to develop the educational process And make it more flexible to enhance self-education and evaluate the student in an accurate and more effective way. It touched on the three most important components of the educational package, which center around (the guide, teaching activities, and evaluation).

Under the auspices of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, and with the aim of increasing the scientific activities of students, the biomedical engineering department held a workshop on the experiments of the (MEMS) laboratory, which was given by Ph.Dr. (Ali Jalal Ali) and Engineer (Mohammed Barzan Hassan) to students of the fourth stage of the Medical Devices Branch to learn about the techniques Scientific experiments for the laboratory.
