The Biomedical Engineering Department organized a scientific lecture entitled"Artificial Intelligence and its Role in Biomedical engineering"  given by Eng. Asma saleem From medical aspects such as diagnosis by using machine learning algorithms to recognize similar images and determine the type of disease.

Biotechnology and the employment of many applications that have improved the processes that take time and effort using computed tomography and magnetic resonance imaging, as well as in the design and manufacture of prostheses for the patient and control them with the help of artificial intelligence, modern prostheses can learn how to interact with the best muscle movements for those who put them. Where hand movements can be simulated almost perfectly, in addition to the contribution of intelligence to improving patient care by reducing research time, giving quick evidence of the efficiency of procedures and treatments and reducing costs for patients.

The Department of Biomedical Engineering held a scientific lecture entitled "Medical Imaging Devices" given by Eng. Marwa Gamal Muhammad, in the presence of the teaching staff and members of the department.
In addition to getting acquainted in general with ultrasound imaging devices and X-ray devices, in addition to Computed Tomography and Cone Beam Computed Tomography devices.
And the requirements for its use, as well as its locations in hospitals and clinics, and the procedures necessary to control penetrating rays. And its assistance in diagnosis, in addition to its importance in doing research and benefiting from it in student projects.

Under the auspices of the Head of the Department, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, a workshop was held in the department on the allowances and promotions applied at the University of Technology, in the presence of the faculty and members of the department, which was presented by the committee represented by the assistant director. Heba Raad Abdel-Ahad, head of observers. Ammar Abbas, a senior physicist. Sarab Abdel Sattar and head of research. Sumayyah Muhammad

The workshop dealt with several axes to facilitate the work procedures of staff and teaching staff, knowing the date of their bonuses, the number of letters of thanks, and the promotion conditions that must be available for each employee, in addition to how to calculate bonuses and promotions and mark them electronically and manually, and clarify cases of delay in granting bonuses and promotions and some administrative matters related to university orders.

While the head of the department praised the work of the committee and its speedy completion of administrative orders related to bonuses, he directed the necessity of creating electronic programs to facilitate work, speed up completion and reduce effort on employees.
