The lecture included a general introduction to the Bologna system, which is one of the tasks of the Studies and Planning Division, which seeks to overcome the difficulties for the purpose of applying it in the department.

  Biomedical engineering Department  / University of Technology participates in the student scientific debate between Al-Khwarizmi engineering students and students of the University of Technology

The Department of Life Medicine Engineering held a student, scientific, cultural debate with the College of Engineering, Al-Khwarizmi / University of Baghdad, on Sunday, 5/21/2023, in the Martyr Al-Hakim Hall, in the presence of both the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research (Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi) and the Deputy Minister of Education for Scientific Research Affairs (Professor Haider Abd Dhahd) and (Professor Dr. Mounir Al-Saadi) President of the University of Baghdad and (Professor Ahmed Al-Ghabban) President of the University of Technology and Head of the Life Medicine Engineering Department - University of Technology Wissam Kazem Hamdan and the Dean of the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi (Professor Wadoud Taher Muhammad) and a number of professors, instructors and students of the two universities and the committee supervising the competition included the formation of two teams of students of the College of Engineering Al-Khwarizmi and students of the University of Technology distributed 8 students for each team

Which was from the departments of Biomedical Engineering, Automated Manufacturing, and Metal Production Engineering from both universities. The debate also included the formation of an arbitration team from the two universities, displaying questions on the electronic screen, and setting a suitable time for students to answer according to the laws announced by the supervising committee for all paragraphs before the competition.
The debate that was held between the students of the Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at the University of Baghdad and the students of the College of Engineering at the University of Technology aims to develop the students' knowledge and scientific skills in their field of specialization. The Minister of Higher Education, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, delivered a speech in which he emphasized that the ministry is working to achieve the goals of university higher education and to meet the community's need to prevent wasting university energies.

The debate ended with the victory of the students of the Biomedical Engineering Department of the College of Engineering, Al-Khwarizmi, and their obtaining the first place, and for the University of Technology, their share was the second place. The spirit of scientific competition and the exchange of information and data prevailed between the students of the two universities. For the participants of the Preparatory Committee

 

 

The Internal Audit Committee for the Quality of Laboratories visited the GLP formed by the Presidency of the University of Technology and charged with following up the efficiency of scientific laboratories in the university's departments.
The committee was accompanied by the official of the Laboratories Division and the laboratory officials, where the committee inspected the laboratories in the department and briefed the committee on the work mechanism in the laboratories, scientific methods and laboratory safety means. Classification of the quality of laboratories accredited by the Ministry.

The department has been keen on continuously providing all these matters related to the quality of laboratories to provide a safe environment for students and laboratory workers.
The visit aimed to control procedures that do not conform to calibration and make them model laboratories in an effort to raise the level of scientific laboratories. The members of the committee also praised the laboratories of the college and gave some directions to integrate the scientific laboratory according to the quality standards required for each scientific laboratory.

 

 

Under the auspices of the President of the University of Technology, Prof. Dr. Ahmed Mohamed Hassan Al-Ghabban, the Department  held its second festival for students, "Student Activities Festival" in the Student Club for Innovators, in the presence of the Assistant President of the University for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Hussein Hamid Karim, the Head of Biomedical Engineering Department, Prof. Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, and a number From my teachers and university students.
The aim of the exhibition, which was held in the Student Club to sponsor scientific innovations, is to showcase the elites of students' innovations
Work was carried out on the completion of the festival under the direct supervision of the Head of Life Medicine Engineering, Professor Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan.

This festival is considered a major student activity adopted by the department for the second year, which includes two wings. The first wing included the scientific innovations presented by the students of the fifth stage, which are innovative and applied projects. It was emphasized that the goal of the department was that the students’ projects be in the applied direction. The second wing is for the cultural activities that It includes drawing, calligraphy, and sculpture, in addition to other works. These activities are part of the first works that will be reflected and larger in the cultural season of the University of Technology.
The festival concluded with the distribution of certificates of appreciation to all students participating in the exhibition.
