As directed by the head of the Biomedical Engineering  department, Dr. Wissam Kazem Hamdan, on the need to follow the summer training for students of the department for the third and fourth stages in hospitals
The Head of the Bio instrumentations Medical Devices Branch, Ph.Dr.Mmarwan Nafie Ali, visited the Yarmouk Teaching Hospital, Medical Devices Maintenance Division, where he met with the Head of the  Maintenance Division, thanking their efforts to support and help the students and stressed their passion for learning. On existing devices and indicate the possibility of maintenance and utilization

 Beside him, Ph.Dr.Mmarwan Nafie met with the students and stressed the need to adhere to the instructions and instructions issued by the department and from the supervising professors in their training places, especially the ministerial regulations concerning the summer training.

At the official invitation of the Executive Director of theBritish Council in London, Dr. Hamid Khalaf, Undersecretary of the Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Ziad Yousef Abdoun participated in the meetings and workshops of the annual conference of the Iraqi-British Business Council held in London for the period from 29-30 June 2019 .
Dr. Ziad also participated in the management of the session on Iraqi and British Higher Education. The British side was represented by the British House of Lords Baroness Emma Nicholson, the British Ambassador to Iraq Jonathan Wilkes and a number of political, academic and media elites, businessmen and dignitaries from both sides. Iraq represented a high-level delegation headed by His Excellency Dr. Barham Valid.
The meetings of the annual conference of the British British Council of Iraq sessions of higher education and scientific research, and a large presence by a number of representatives of British universities in the United Kingdom, which have mutual cooperation with Iraqi universities, and the presence of a number of academics, researchers and interested in this area.
In addition, Dr. Ziad participated in a special and separate meeting attended by Mr. Wakil, Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research in Iraq, Dr. Victoria Lindsay, the British Council in Iraq, and Professor Colin Raban, representative of the British Business Council.
The annual conference resulted in a series of recommendations and programs of action to be implemented within the framework of joint cooperation between the Iraqi and British sides in the higher education and scientific research sector.
