As part of the regular workshop series organized by the Office of the Assistant President for Academic and Graduate Affairs at the University of Technology, a workshop was held on Thursday, November 7, 2024, in the Department of Biomedical Engineering under the title "University Ecosystem and Its Role in Entrepreneurship and Achieving Sustainable Development Goals."

The workshop was presented by Dr. Manal Abdul Wahed, Head of the Technological Incubators Division, and Assistant Lecturer Fadel Abbas from the Department of Computer Science. It highlighted the importance of the university environment in promoting innovation and supporting entrepreneurship, with an emphasis on how the university ecosystem can be used to achieve sustainable development goals through projects and initiatives that contribute to economic, social, and environmental growth.

The workshop included details about the ecosystem platform, which provides information on support programs, workshops, and funding opportunities. The platform aims to facilitate communication between students, entrepreneurs, and investors to enhance innovation and sustainable growth.

The workshop saw active participation from students and faculty members, enriching discussions and fostering collaboration across various disciplines.
